I hope you had a chance to see the opening ceremonies of the Beijing 2008 Olympics!
If you did, you're a little ahead of me, believe it or not. I was running on fumes that day and decided to get some shut-eye. I did watch the outside of the stadium during the first 30 minutes or so from the IBC patio a few hundred yards away from the Bird's Nest before I caught the shuttle home. I was able to snap a couple photos while the fireworks were firing, so I've posted those for your viewing pleasure. As you can imagine, watching a replay of the ceremony here at the IBC will be no problem, so I fully intend to enjoy the opening ceremonies during a time I can keep my eyes open. Perhaps while I'm enjoying a free Starbucks latte! That's right, one of the perks of hitching up with NBC is free Starbucks!

The opening ceremony was unlike anything Linda and I have ever seen. Unreal. No one will be able to top that!
Hey! Did you do the Michael Phelps Swimming Personal Interest piece? Just saw it and Linda got a little teary. If you did it, way to go man!
